This 5-day Telemark skiing course offers you the opportunity to practise telemark and hike with ski skins : a warm-up on groomed pistes, then head for the most beautiful off-piste runs in the area, far from the marked runs. In the heart of the Parpaillon massif, the resorts of Crévoux and Les Orres await you for some great skiing in immaculate mountain valleys. Here you can enjoy sunny climbs through larch forests and perfect your bent-knee skiing technique in top-quality powder snow.
TÉLÉMARK skiing stay in the EMBRUN area
Your trip day to day
The guide welcomes you. Then it’s off to the gite to drop off your gear before heading to Crévoux ski resort. We set off for the day in the magnificent off-piste runs which are very rarely busy. Larch forests and vast snowfields, a real treat for telemark skiers!
We’re heading for the resort of Les Orres for the same fun-filled programme! The difference is that we’ll put on the ski skins and get away from the marked runs from the top of the resort towards the immense wild valleys of the Aupillon.
Difference in altitude: between 400 and 1000 m depending on the options chosen.
We return to Crévoux to explore the area further. The idea, of course, is to do more descents than ascents and to take advantage of the magnificent descents from Pic Haut and Crêtes de la Ratelle, which offer skiers more than 800m of descent in one go, and several times a day! Watch out for your thighs...
For this fourth day, we’re off to the Réallon ski resort around the impressive Aiguilles de Chabrières. Great atmosphere guaranteed!
For this final day, we return to Les Orres. After an initial long descent, we put on our ski skins for a 600m climb to the summit of Costa Rouenda and its 1000m North face with its perfect telemark slope!
End of our trip mid-afternoon.
NB : The programme is intended as a guide only. It could be modified at any time by the mountain guide for safety reasons, weather conditions or regarding the physical and technical level of the skiers.

High mountain : special warning
Telemark skiing is dependent on different factors that we can sometimes neither anticipate nor control; we may therefore have to modify the programme of our high mountain holidays before or during the stay for various reasons:
- if the weather and/or snow conditions make it impossible to carry out the planned programme and/or
- if there is a delay in the opening or early closure of a ski lift or refuge
In these cases, we will offer you an alternative programme, sometimes on the day of departure, which you may not refuse.
Telemark skiing, as all mountain activities have some level of risk particularly of avalanche or injury in the event of a fall.
To reduce the hazards that they are exposed to skiers must follow the safety instructions given by the instructor.
You must be aware of these risks and accept them when booking.
Guiding
By state-certified mountain guides or trainees mountain guides (aspirant guides) from Roc Écrins team. They will have a VHF radio connected to the emergency services, a satellite phone or a mobile phone. They will also have a collective first-aid kit.
*A trainee mountain guide is a guide in training who is authorised to work and supervise climbs from their third year of training.
